The Atlanta Braves are going to be interesting to watch over the next month or so.
The 2025 Major League Baseball trade deadline will come and pass on July 31st and right now the Braves have a 27-37 record. Things haven't gone their way this season and if they don't turn things around quickly, there is a chance that some talent could be on the way out of town.
USA Today Sports' Bob Nightengale specifically mentioned slugger Marcell Ozuna as a potential trade chip.
"No matter where Atlanta is at the trade deadline, the team isn't expected to be a seller – with the possible exception of DH Marcell Ozuna, who’s a free agent after the season," Nightengale said. "Atlanta still has a fabulous young nucleus, Cy Young winner Chris Sale back for another season, a healthy Spencer Strider and MVP Ronald Acuña Jr. a year removed from ACL surgery."

The three-time All-Star has been a superstar with the Braves over the last six years. He finished fourth in the National League Most Valuable Player Award voting in 2024 and has been good again this year too. He is slashing .257/.397/.430 with 10 homers, 28 RBIs, and seven doubles in 61 games.
He signed a four-year, $65 million deal with Atlanta that will expire at the end of the season. It will be interesting to see how the Braves handle him. Atlanta has the talent to turn things around, but will it be able to? If not, it seems like Ozuna could be on his way out of town.
