Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo is having the best baseball season of his life.
And in one particular situation, he's an otherworldly hitter.
It came up on Wednesday night, because Arizona called on Perdomo to bunt in a big spot.
And by the numbers, the Diamondbacks should've never done that.
That's because, with runners in scoring position and no outs, Perdomo is hitting .526.
That's not a typo.

Statistician Ryan Spaeder shared the stat on X on Thursday. Perdomo's triple-slash line this season with a runner in scoring position and no outs is .526/.542/.684.
Spaeder went further, too.
Perdomo hasn't struck out in that situation since Sept. 12, 2022. And this season, he hasn't popped out in that situation, either.
He goes to the plate with a job to do, and he pretty much always does it.

Perdomo has been successful in a lot more than just that spot this season. By Wins Above Replacement, he's one of the five best players in the National League.
But with a runner in scoring position and no outs, Perdomo is as sure a bet as there is in baseball.
