Sean Tucker fantasy outlook for Week 12 gets big news with Bucky Irving injury update for Buccaneers image

TL;DR

  • Sean Tucker's fantasy value increases as Bucky Irving is expected to miss Sunday Night Football.
  • Irving's absence prevents a difficult lineup decision for fantasy managers before kickoff.
  • Tucker, who played well against the Buffalo Bills, will likely get more opportunities.
  • Without Irving, Tucker is projected as an RB2 or FLEX in fantasy leagues.

Sean Tucker had a career day in Week 11.

Fantasy football managers who depended on Tucker expressed worry that Bucky Irving's return from injury in Week 12 appeared probable, which would swiftly diminish Tucker's value.

On Thursday, veteran beat reporter Joe Bucs Fan broke the news that Irving is expected to miss Sunday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams.

That's a twist, and it's big news for Tucker.

The Sunday night aspect of things was always going to make things difficult here. Do you leave Tucker in your lineup not knowing Irving's status until 90 minutes before kickoff, after most players will have already played?

This helps. It'd help more if a couple other reporters shared the same Irving news just to make it feel particularly firm.

Recent press conference responses in Tampa Bay suggest Irving wouldn't have been given a complete workload from the outset. However, it becomes complicated when Irving, Tucker, and Rachaad White are all competing for running back opportunities.

Without Irving, the Bucs will probably just depend on the player who dominated the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday.

Despite not being drafted, Tucker's situation was largely due to health problems he experienced just prior to the draft.

Tucker shone as a college star at Syracuse. This week, he might get another opportunity to demonstrate his NFL readiness.

In fantasy leagues, Tucker is an RB2 or FLEX with Irving out.
