Buccaneers’ Mike Evans, Emeka Egbuka injury fantasy news creates waiver wire, start-sit advice with MNF playing status in question image

The Monday Night Football injuries are always the toughest ones in fantasy football.

That's definitely true in Week 7, where Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers Mike Evans and Emeka Egbuka are both questionable heading into a MNF matchup with the Detroit Lions.

That's actually the first of two Monday night games, with Texans-Seahawks later in the night, which creates a tiny bit more fantasy flexibility.

There are still all sorts of questions, though. Here's a bit of advice.

Should I start Mike Evans in fantasy Week 7?

Yes, you should start Mike Evans in your fantasy lineups in Week 7.

He seemed the more likely to play as the week went on, and although he could still swing the other way, it seems like the Bucs will get him out on the field.

Evans is an automatic start when healthy, and it's worth the risk here.

Should I start Emeka Egbuka in fantasy Week 7?

Egbuka is riskier and should only be started if you have a replacement possibility playing Monday night.

His injury didn't seem like it'd be come back from in a week, and he feels like a true game-time decision.

Waiver wire replacements for Mike Evans, Emeka Egbuka

If you don't have another MNF option on your roster (ideally with these guys slotted into the FLEX just for maximum options on Monday), there are some possible pickups.

The Bucs likely will use Sterling Shepard and Tez Johnson more if the stars miss out. Shepard is the PPR play, while Johnson is more explosive.

On the other side, the Lions really only have Isaac TeSlaa potentially available, but he's an inferior choice to the Bucs replacements.

In the later game, the most intriguing option is Seahawks rookie Tory Horton if he's available.

If it's a FLEX spot you have, other pickup options include Bucs RB Sean Tucker and TE Cade Otton.
