Mr. Irrelevant is about to become very relevant.

Brock Purdy has already made himself a quality NFL quarterback. He's gotten his big payday from the San Francisco 49ers, too. And now, he just might do his fantasy football managers a huge solid.

The playoffs are here, either beginning in Week 15 or Week 16 for the vast majority of fantasy leagues.

And things are shaping up quite nicely for Purdy.

ESPN's Eric Karabell predicts Purdy will be a top-10 QB the rest of the season.

"Matchups matter, and Purdy and his buddies play the Tennessee Titans this week, then the reeling Indianapolis Colts," Karabell writes. "That should be enough to persuade fantasy managers to slide Purdy into their lineups. The Titans are bad, and they have been lit up recently by Shedeur Sanders, Davis Mills and others."

Karabell goes on to point out that the 49ers' Week 14 bye means they should be well-rested and prepared for the stretch run. And not just Purdy, but also his veteran star teammates Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle.

"Purdy rested, too," Karabell writes. "He lacks the flashy statistics this season as he battled a sprained left shoulder and then a toe injury, missing more than half the games. Purdy threw three touchdown passes in Week 11 against Arizona, then threw three interceptions the following Monday night against the tougher-than-people-realize Carolina Panthers. He scored 17.12 points in Week 13 against a strong Cleveland Browns defense. Purdy averaged 17.8 points last season. He was fantasy's No. 6 QB in 2023. We have seen and enjoyed his upside, and with this schedule, I say he rewards those who trust him. Play Purdy over Patrick Mahomes (vs. Chargers), Lamar Jackson (no, I don't think he is fine), Dak Prescott and myriad others this week."

It's probably hard to imagine playing Purdy over Mahomes, Jackson or Prescott.

But the matchup is so good. Shedeur Sanders just threw for more than 300 yards with three touchdowns while running for another against the Titans.

Purdy is in play, for sure.
