Week 4 PPR Rankings: WR

Week 4 PPR Rankings: WR image

Cole Beasley's Week 3 stat line of eight catches for 48 yards is why some people hate point-per-reception leagues and why some people love them. He's unowned in 92 percent of Yahoo leagues, yet he had value because of all those catches. Those types of guys don't seem quite as prevalent this year as in years past, though. Christian Kirk, who had a classic PPR line of his own last week (10-59), looks like the new Jarvis Landry (Related: What happened to the old Jarvis Landry?) and Tyler Boyd is right there with him, but the top of our Week 4 fantasy WR PPR rankings is mostly full of all-around studs. Bor-ing.

OK, it's always been that way, but with Landry struggling, Golden Tate still suspended, Jamison Crowder on bye, and old reliables like Nelson Agholor and Cooper Kupp turning into touchdown machines, it's not as much fun trying to find those high-catch WR3 sleepers who are so valuable in PPR, especially during the bye weeks.

WEEK 4 NON-PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

Perhaps looking at defenses allowing a lot of receptions can help us find a few diamonds in the rough. Carolina, Buffalo, Houston, and Detroit all rank in the top five in WR receptions allowed (the idle Jets are also in that group). Most of the key players facing those teams will already be in fantasy lineups. Will Fuller (vs. Panthers), Curtis Samuel (@ Texans), and Phillip Dorsett (@ Bills) might be on the bubble, but you're definitely starting D.J. Moore, Josh Gordon, Julian Edelman (if healthy), Sammy Watkins, Demarcus Robinson, and Mecole Hardman.

Going a few spots lower on the list helps more: Vikings, Giants, Eagles, Saints. Perhaps Taylor Gabriel or Anthony Miller (vs. Vikings) can finally get going, and Trey Quinn (@ Giants) might become the PPR slot machine we all thought he could. Marquez Valdes-Scantling (vs. Eagles), fresh off a 10-target game, could be in line for another productive day, and either Randall Cobb or Devin Smith (@ Saints) could step up in place of Michael Gallup.

Either way, with just the Jets and 49ers on bye, fantasy owners shouldn't be hurting for options, and with the amount of passes being thrown this year, someone's bound to catch 'em.
