What to do with Ezekiel Elliott and Melvin Gordon? Fantasy football owners been asking that all preseason, now that it's time to put together Week 1 RB rankings, we're still asking. We've left Gordon out and included Elliott, but if he's not in camp by Labor Day, Zeke will get pulled and Tony Pollard will become the ultimate sleeper. Yes, it's only Week 1, but start 'em, sit 'em decisions are already difficult.

The good news is they're difficult for everyone. There's a lot we don't know about players, schemes, and matchups, so we're all guessing to some extent. We hope committee situations in Philadelphia, Tampa, Washington, Houston, New England, and Denver get sorted out this week, but chances are things will be just as cloudy going into Week 2. This depresses the value of all players involved, but all it takes is a touchdown for a player to pay off in your lineup, so you can't avoid them all.

It's likely you're just going to play the RBs you drafted first. That makes sense since we're not entirely sure how much defenses have improved/regressed since last year. But there are likely some opportunities to plug your RB3s and RB4s (and maybe even RB5s) into starting spots and reap the benefits. Don't get too cute, but also don't be lazy.
