NFL Weather Week 2: Fantasy football start, sit decisions to watch for rain, wind forecasts image

While it's not December, when we have to worry about the snow in Buffalo, keeping an eye on the weather each week is a helpful strategy for fantasy football.

Week 1 was riddled with rain and lightning delays in games that were covered in last week's weather article. It's important to know what projected forecasts are, so you can make better lineup decisions.

Current as of Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. ET: The Week 2 fantasy weather data we've collected comes from NFLWeather.com.

NFL weather forecast: Week 2 fantasy updates

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins

This is by far the worst projected forecast in Week 2. With a 39% chance of rain showers in Miami, it's definitely one to monitor. This could result in slick field conditions, which can always impact the game.

Drake Maye is a popular start in Week 2 as he gets to take on the Miami Dolphins (who let Daniel Jones go nuclear), but if the forecast gets worse, you may have to pivot. If the weather is rainy and the conditions are wet, TreVeyon Henderson may have his breakout performance.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets

As of Sep. 10, this game provides no real concern when it comes to the weather. There is a projected 5% rain showers and possible 7 mph winds at MetLife Stadium, neither should impact any fantasy decisions.

If there is poor weather, it just means one thing for the Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen is going to run wild. This would also benefit those who own Justin Fields in fantasy, as he would rely on his legs even more than he already does.

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs

Again, nothing too noteworthy as it relates to the forecast at Arrowhead Stadium. However, there is a 10% chance we'll see some thunderstorms with some slight wind around kick off.

We saw what the Eagles' offense looks like in rainy conditions in Week 1. Long story short, avoid A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. However, it will be interesting to see where the Chiefs lean if the conditions are wet; maybe the run game with Isiah Pacheco or Kareem Hunt gets going in Week 2.
