New York Jets' top wide receiver Garrett Wilson, who was leading the AFC in receiving heading into Week 6, went down with a knee injury.
It is unknown when Wilson precisely sustained the knee injury, but we do know it transpired sometime during their Week 6 game in London.
Wilson did not miss a snap, which is a good sign. However, he was far from what we come to expect from Wilson. Wilson was still targeted 8 times, but caught just 3 passes for 13 yards.
Keep reading to see how Garrett Wilson's injury update impacts fantasy football players.
Will Garrett Wilson miss games due to this injury?
While the exact time frame is unknown, Wilson is expected to miss some time due to this knee injury, per Rich Cimini of ESPN:
WR Garrett Wilson underwent an MRI today and appears to have avoided a serious knee injury, per source, but it probably still means some down time.

Worth noting that the #Jets have two more games (CAR, at CIN) before their bye. Perhaps that factors into the timetable.
However, some good news surrounding this issue did come out. The MRI revealed that Wilson did, in fact, avoid a serious knee injury. This is not only great for this season, but Wilson's career as a whole.
With the Jets having their bye in Week 9, it's fair to assume Wilson will not be available until after that. This gives him a solid 3 weeks to rest before the back half of the season.
How does this injury affect Garrett Wilson's fantasy value?
Coming into Week 6, Wilson was phenomenal for fantasy football -- even despite the Jets' putrid offensive showings. He was the WR5 overall, averaging 19 fantasy points per game in PPR formats.
This will, of course, hurt Wilson's season-long finish, but that is not a huge concern for managers. It might take some time for Wilson to return to full strength, even after he's back on the field.
However, there should be an ample amount of time for Wilson to recover before the fantasy football playoffs.

Which Jets wide receiver should I pick up for Week 7 fantasy football?
To be completely honest, you should not pick up any of the remaining healthy Jets WRs.
Before Wilson went down, they already made up one of the thinnest WR rooms in the entire NFL.
The Jets' second and third-most-targeted players are TE Mason Taylor (29) and RB Breece Hall (24). The next closest WR is Josh Reynolds with just 12 targets on the season.
The only other options are Allen Lazard, who missed the London game due to unknown personal reasons. Then you have Arian Smith and Tyler Johnson, who, if you combined their targets, are still way less than Hall's.
My best advice is that Taylor is rostered at just 37% in Yahoo Fantasy leagues. If you truly want a Jet for fantasy football, that should be who you go after.
