Week 13 waiver wire: Best fantasy pickups

Jayden Higgins, WR, Texans (22%)

Things have started to click for Jayden Higgins in his rookie campaign.  He is coming off a season-best performance on TNF, where he caught four passes for 38 yards and a score.

Higgins was targeted a season-high nine times by Davis Mills in their win over the Buffalo Bills.

This marks the fourth time since the bye that Higgins has been targeted seven or more times. The rookie WR has also caught three touchdowns in the last five weeks.

Higgins was one of the top sleeper picks in the offseason, and after a slow start, managers seemingly forgot about him. The Iowa State prospect is widely available with some favorable matchups upcoming. Jayden Higgins FAAB: 10%

Chimere Dike, WR, Titans (14%)

The Week 13 production that Chimere Dike experienced came in all different facets of the game.

Dike was targeted seven times by Cam Ward in the Titans' loss to the Seahawks. He caught 5 of these for 44 yards and a receiving touchdown. Dike also scored a punt for a touchdown, which only added to his big day.

With Calvin Ridley out for the season and Elic Ayomanor missing some time as well, Dike has plenty of opportunity to flourish as the WR1 in this Titans. Chimere Dike FAAB: 5%

Week 13 waiver wire streamers: Bye-week sleepers to add

Consider spending a few of your FAB dollars on these one-week plays, and we'll note any Week 13 pickups who also have long-term value.

QB Fantasy Streaming Pickups

Jacoby Brissett, Cardinals (60%)

Brissett has played at an unbelievably high level since taking over the starting job in Arizona. This has resulted in excellent QB play for fantasy football as well. In Week 13, he'll face a Tampa Bay defense that allows the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing QBs.

TE Fantasy Streaming Pickup

Theo Johnson, Giants (59%)

The hope for those wanting to play Johnson is that Jaxson Dart returns in Week 13. It is a favorable matchup against the Patriots for two main reasons. First, New England allows the 10th most FPPG to TEs. Second, the Giants should be down, and the game script will result in a pass-heavy attack.

Team Defense Fantasy Streaming Pickups

Jacksonville Jaguars (40%)

If you have been paying attention at all, it's very apparent that targeting the Tennessee Titans is a smart strategy. The Titans are still averaging the lowest total points per game in the entire NFL.

Kicker Fantasy Streaming Pickups

Ka'imi Fairbairn, Texans (54%)

After missing some time, Fairbairn was dropped in plenty of leagues. An elite kicker such as himself should not be widely available, and the matchup is solid in Week 13 in an indoor stadium.

Try to tuck away these Week 13 sleeper pickups for a few FAAB dollars, as well.

Quarterback waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Davis Mills, Texans (5%)
  • J.J. McCarthy, Vikings (41%)
  • Shedeur Sanders, Browns (6%)

There is a legitimate argument that the Texans' offense has looked better with Mills at quarterback. It's certainly something to monitor moving forward.

McCarthy has not looked good, but that playoff schedule still warrants a potential stash if he starts to figure things out.

With Sanders starting in Week 12, he is certainly worth a stash in deeper leagues. If he looks good, he may be able to be started in favorable matchups.

Running Back waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Blake Corum, Rams (16%)

At this point in the season, stashing RBs is an intelligent move ahead of the playoffs. Corum has looked much improved from last season and would very much be the RB1 if Kyren Williams were to go down.

Wide Receiver waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Luther Burden III, Bears, (11%)
  • Christian Watson, Packers (48%)
  • Christian Kirk, Texans (14%)

Bears head coach Ben Johnson said Burden would get more involved in the offense. This is enough of a reason to stash him along with his talent.

Watson continues to be the top-targeted WR in the Packers' offense. With Jayden Reed's return looming, it's hard to predict his usage moving forward.

Kirk has been a decent option with Davis Mills as the QB. Kirk caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown on TNF.

Tight End waiver pickups to stash this week

  • Brenton Strange, Jaguars (12%)
  • Brock Wright, Lions (2%)

Strange has been activated off the IR and is rostered far too low for the level of talent he is.
