Week 10 fantasy waiver wire: best pickups
Colston Loveland, TE, Bears (23% rostered in Yahoo Fantasy leagues )
The beginning of the year was perplexing for Colston Loveland and his involvement in the offense. Through the first six weeks (including a game where he missed), Loveland was targeted just nine total times by Caleb Williams.
In the past 3 weeks, he's been targeted 16 times by Williams. The rookie TE out of Michigan is taking advantage of this usage as well. He has 12 catches for 180 yards and 2 TDs.
Week 9 was by far Loveland's best game of his career, and it ended unbelievably. He was targeted seven times and caught 6 for 118 yards and his first NFL touchdowns. Loveland caught a last-ditch effort TD that he took to the house for the win.
Post-bye has treated the rookie well; he is a must-grab on the waiver wire. Colston Loveland FAAB: 15%
NEW - Tre Tucker, WR, Raiders (38%)
With the recent news that the Raiders are trading wide receiver Jakobi Meyers to the Jaguars, this improves the fantasy outlook for Tre Tucker.
Few can forget the explosive performance that Tucker had in Week 3 against the Commanders. He caught eight passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns.
Tucker scored 40.9 fantasy points and was the WR1 for the week. Since then, the highest he has finished is WR25 in Week 6.
However, with a new target share available and the evident ability to have big games, Tucker is a must-grab off the waiver wire. Tre Tucker FAAB: 10%
Cedric Tillman, WR, Browns (11%)
While it is difficult to predict what this offense will look like with Cedric Tillman back to full health, he was a solid option before his stint on IR.
When Tillman was last healthy, Joe Flacco was his starting quarterback. From what we've seen from Dillon Gabriel, I'm not sure Tillman will be impacted.
It's clear that Jerry Jeudy and Gabriel are not on the same page; therefore, Tillman may step into a WR1 role with the Browns.
11% is far too low for a player like Tillman. If you have the roster spot, there is truly nothing to lose. Cedric Tillman FAAB: 10%
J.J. McCarthy, QB, Vikings (28%)
It's completely understandable if you have little confidence in J.J. McCarthy's ability to run an NFL offense. However, we've seen in fantasy before that you do not have to be a skilled passer to be productive in fantasy.
In his first two games of the season, where McCarthy was the starter, he rushed 7 times for 50 yards and a rushing TD. Due to the struggles of the offensive line, McCarthy needs to scramble.
On top of this rushing upside, there is genuinely not a more manageable schedule for a QB the rest of the way.
In the fantasy football playoffs, the Vikings face the Dallas Cowboys (24.9 FPPG to QBs), the New York Giants (21.2 FPPG to QBs), and the Detroit Lions (17.9 FPPG to QBs).
This alone warrants at least a stash, because if McCarthy comes out and improves after his injury, he could be a league winner. J.J. McCarthy FAAB: 10%
Alec Pierce, WR, Colts (26%)
When Alec Pierce is healthy, the Colts and Daniel Jones love getting him the ball. The issue is that Pierce is constantly banged up from his effort on passes. Nonetheless, this should not prevent you from grabbing him.
Pierce was targeted 11 times by Jones in Week 9 against the Steelers. He was able to catch 5 of them for 89 yards, which is a solid day in PPR scoring formats.
Pierce is never going to be a huge catch volume WR, but the big plays are why he draws attention in fantasy football. Alec Pierce FAAB: 5%

Week 10 waiver wire streamers: Bye-week sleepers to add
QB Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Jaxson Dart, Giants (67%)
The truth is, Dart is still widely available in Yahoo Fantasy leagues despite being a popular name. In Week 10, the rookie QB out of Ole Miss will face the Bears, who have allowed the tenth most FPPG to opposing QBs.
TE Fantasy Streaming Pickup
AJ Barner, Seahawks (10%)
If you need to stream a TE, chances are you aren't getting super productive options anyway. Why not take a shot on a player like Barner, who has shown big-game ability? Plus, Barner faces the Cardinals in Week 10, who allow the sixth most FPPG to TEs.
Barner ranks among our top tight ends pickups to replace the injured Tucker Kraft.
Team Defense Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Cleveland Browns D/ST (29%)
The Browns face the New York Jets in Week 10. The Jets' passing attack is ranked at the bottom tier in the NFL; the only thing they occasionally do well is run the ball, which the Browns are particularly good at stopping. Cleveland is coming off the bye, so you'll be able to scoop them early if you hurry.
Kicker Fantasy Streaming Pickups
Will Reichard, Vikings (15%)
While the Ravens' defense has improved and McCarthy is relatively untested, it's an indoor matchup against a team that has allowed a significant number of points this season to opposing kickers.

Week 10 Fantasy Waiver Wire sleeper stashes & watch list
Quarterback waiver pickups to stash this week
- Jacoby Brissett, Cardinals (6%)
- Kenny Pickett, Raiders (0%)
- Tyler Shough, Saints (3%)
- Davis Mills, Texans (0%)
- Marcus Mariota, Commanders (5%)
While these three QB suggestions for a stash are suitable for deeper leagues or 2QB, Shough is the starter moving forward on a team that will often be in a negative game script.
As far as Pickett and Brissett go, Geno Smith has been underwhelming and could be benched if he doesn't play better after the bye week. Kyler Murray is set to miss Week 9 and could miss longer, making Brissett somewhat valuable.
C.J. Stroud left the game in Week 9, making Mills at minimum a consideration for a deep or 2QB league.
NEW - Mariota will take over for likely the remainder of the fantasy football season with Jayden Daniels going down with a gruesome arm dislocation. In Weeks 3 and 4, Mariota was a decent fantasy option.
Running Back waiver pickups to stash this week
- Emanuel Wilson, Packers (10%)
- Brittain Brown, Bears (0%)
Wilson has shown signs of relevance for fantasy football. The consistency is not there, but he should be rostered higher than just 10%.
We don't know if D'Andre Swift's groin injury is going to keep him out long-term, making Brown at least a sleeper stash.
Wide Receiver waiver pickups to stash this week
- Parker Washington, Jaguars (14%)
- Dyami Brown, Jaguars (3%)
- Christian Watson, Packers (29%)
- Jayden Reed, Packers (34%)
- Darius Slayton, Giants (35%)
- DeMario Douglas, Patriots (4%)
- NEW- Adonai Mitchell, Jets (1%)
With Travis Hunter being placed on IR and the struggles that Brian Thomas Jr. Has had this season, one of these (or both) WRs will step up for the Jaguars.
Watson is a pure big-play kind of fantasy WR. Even with Jayden Reed out, Watson is still mediocre from a fantasy perspective. Reed may return in Week 10 and should be rostered at a higher percentage.
The Giants' offense is still somehow staying afloat despite their brutal injuries to some of their best players. Slayton, being one of the only healthy weapons left, received seven targets from Jaxson Dart.
Douglas had his best game of the season in Week 9, where he caught four passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. While this is not a reliable WR in fantasy, he offers some upside with a favorable schedule coming up.
NEW - Mitchell's time in Indy has come to a close. A very skilled player who never truly got his feet under himself in the NFL. A new opportunity does arise with the Jets; he is a much-needed WR in a tight room in New York.
Tight End waiver pickups to stash this week
- Isaiah Likely, Ravens (5%)
- Greg Dulcich, Dolphins (0%)
- Luke Musgrave, Packers (0%)
In Lamar Jackson's first game back, he looked Likely's way 4 times. The Ravens TE2 was able to haul in 3 of these targets for 60 yards. Likely becomes an interesting stash with his big game history, particularly with Jackson.
Whichever TE plays in this Miami Dolphins offense gets production. Dulcich caught all five of his targets for 49 yards in Week 9. With Darren Waller on IR, Dulcich becomes at least notable.
With Tucker Kraft going down, Musgrave is a name to at least keep an eye on. While it would be delusional to think he'll get the same volume as Kraft, he did get three targets in Week 9.
