Fantasy TEs on Week 9 Bye

  • Cade Otton, Buccaneers
  • Mason Taylor, Jets

Who are the best fantasy Week 9 tight ends?

The Los Angeles Chargers' Oronde Gadsden joins the ranks of the typical every-week starters, now that he's arguably the No. 2 or even No. 1 target for Justin Herbert.

Typical names sit near the top, with Mark Andrews joining them on the notion that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (hamstring) rejoins the lineup on Thursday Night Football.

We await the status for the Las Vegas Raiders' Brock Bowers (knee) coming off bye, and he would leap into the top 12 at the position upon being active, with the hope that the bye week refreshed his health and the passing game overall.

Which top fantasy TE sleepers should I target for Week 9?

Kyle Pitts will get a boost again, especially if Drake London has to sit again. The Atlanta Falcons will do their best to avoid cornerback Christian Gonzalez, and Pitts should find plenty of 1-on-1 matchups on which to capitalize.

Even if Cole Kmet (back) is active for Week 9, Colston Loveland might've cemented a bigger offensive spot with the Chicago Bears, especially if wideout Luther Burden (concussion) were to miss time. The Bears get the fantasy doormat Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.

The New Orleans' Saints Juwan Johnson sneaks back into fantasy utility against the Los Angeles Rams, with New Orleans QB Spencer Rattler likely having to rely on midrange targets.

Which top fantasy TE busts should I avoid for Week 9?

Though benching them will prove difficult, Dalton Kincaid and Travis Kelce face statistical hurdles as their Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, respectively, are some of the toughest defenses against the position. Their offenses also allow things to funnel in whatever direction is most advantageous, so neither can count on being fed for the sake of being fed.
