Luther Burden vs. DJ Moore: Fantasy advice on Bears WRs with Rome Odunze out for Week 14 image

The Chicago Bears are going to face the Green Bay Packers in the biggest matchup of the Week 14 slate, as the winner will take control of the NFC North.

Unfortunately for the Bears, they will be without number one wide receiver Rome Odunze. As the Bears revealed on their final injury report, he's out with a foot issue, and while he's now week-to-week, he won't suit up this weekend.

For fantasy football managers, they have a difficult decision with the two remaining wide receivers on the Bears roster. DJ Moore and Luther Burden are next in line for work this week, but which, if either, should fantasy managers start this week?

Odunze's absence will open up numerous opportunities for the rest of the wide receiver room. Even though he's not been that great since the bye week, Odunze was consistently getting at least six targets per game (other than in Week 9).

Now, those opportunities will be split between Moore, Burden, and Olamide Zaccheaus. But, for fantasy purposes, Burden and Moore are the only realistic starting options.

Moore is averaging 10.1 points per game in Full PPR leagues and is coming off a 4.7 point performance against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Burden is averaging 6.1 points per game in Full PPR leagues, and is coming off a 7.6 point performance against the Eagles.

Between the two, Moore is the better bet this week, as he's been more involved in the offense all year, and he's had the much bigger spike weeks. Moore can be in lineups as a WR2-3 option, and would be a quality Flex play for Week 14.

Burden, on the other hand, is a much riskier Flex play this week. While he's been hyped up the last few weeks, Burden hasn't turned in consistent enough usage to warrant being in fantasy lineups this season.

He is a viable Flex play for fantasy managers in a pinch, or dealing with injuries and the teams on bye in Week 14. Burden can be in lineups, but his expectations should be a bit lower than Moore's.

If needing to decide between the two Bears wide receivers for Week 14, Moore is the clear better option. Burden isn't a bad option as well, but Moore is likely to take the majority of the work while Burden factors in as a number two option this week.
