During football season, Jason Kelce was a 295-pound wall of muscle and mayhem, but these days, the recently retired Philadelphia Eagle is taking on a new opponent — body fat.

The former gridiron great has never been shy about sharing his favorite indulgences, which include hamburgers, pizza, waffles and glazed donuts.

Weighing in at just under 300 pounds during college, on the May 7 episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce quipped “I looked like an overweight Oompa Loompa ... that’s why I didn’t have any girlfriends.”

But after retiring from the NFL and leaving the trenches behind, the former center decided it was finally time to trade in his inner Oompa Loompa for a healthier lifestyle.

Just one month after revealing on an April 11 podcast episode that he had slimmed down to 283 pounds — on Monday, Jason told Us Weekly he’s now down to about 270.

That’s a 25-pound loss since hanging up his cleats, and he's not doing it alone.

According to Kelce, he and former Eagles teammate Beau Allen are locked in a competitive “weight loss body fat loss competition,” though he’s not looking to vanish completely.

“I don’t really want to get below 250,” Kelce told the outlet. “So, I think somewhere between 250 and 265. We’ll see where it goes.”

Last June, in an interview with GQ, Kelce said, that after weighing 295 pounds for most of his NFL career, he was looking forward “to losing some of those pounds,” but “didn’t want to get too small.”

“I think a lot of guys, especially offensive linemen, they lose too much weight, and then they look like bobbleheads because their neck gets so small, but their head stays the same size,” Kelce said to GQ. “So, for me, I feel like for some reason, 250 to 260 feels like I'll be still big and be happy with the way I look without having a six-pack.”
