Los Angeles Lakers' star Luka Doncic is coming clean about his weight-loss journey.
The 26-year-old point guard has been turning heads during the NBA offseason thanks to his noticeably slimmer body, and fans have started questioning whether or not he's using a weight loss drug, like Ozempic, to drop the pounds.
On the Wednesday, July 30 episode of "Today," Doncic finally addressed the claims after host Craig Melvin surprised him with a question about what he's doing to transform his body.
Luka Doncic said diet and discipline was his secret to slimming down
The Slovenian guard was quick to shut the rumors down.
"No Ozempic? None of those shots or anything," Melvin asked the Lakers star.
"No," Doncic said flatly, while also revealing his disciplined offseason routine and a few unorthodox changes.
"I would say me and my team just tried some new things. Different food, different practices," he explained.
One of the biggest shifts? The five-time NBA All-Star stepped away from the game he knows the best - something he's never done before.
"I actually gave up playing basketball for one month, which I never did in my life, so it was kind of challenging, but it was good," he said. "Mentally, basketball I've been playing my whole life, so I won't forget how to play basketball in one month, so we tried other sports. I think it was a good thing."
While he's busy working on himself, the Slovenian athlete admitted that he tries to cancel out the noise that constantly surrounds him.
"Obviously, I try to not read much, just try to focus," he said. "I think I was still a pretty good basketball player back then, no matter what people say."
“At the end, I’m still 26, I got a long way to go, so that was a good step in my career," he added.
Luka Doncic said he didn't know what to expect when he joined the NBA at 18
Doncic has been opening up about his weight loss journey in recent weeks.
On July 28, he posed for the cover story of "Men's Health," and dished on what he's doing during the NBA offseason to try to transform his body and up his game.

During the sit-down chat in Croatia, Doncic was in the middle of a 90-minute training session that was focused on weight training, agility work, and shooting drills.
"When I came to the NBA, I was 18,” he told the outlet. “Honestly, I didn't know what to expect those first four or five years. Then I said, ‘I need to do this.’”
He's since started using an intermittent fasting plan to try to limit inflammation and help his body recover quicker.
Six out of seven days a week, he eats two high-protein meals and a protein shake, and holds off on eating his first meal until he's finished up his 90-minute morning workout routine.
