Kai Trump is going to be a Division I golfer.
The granddaughter of President Donald Trump has officially signed to play college golf.
On Wednesday, the University of Miami announced that Kai will be playing golf for the Hurricanes.
"Kai will bring tremendous energy and excitement to Miami," head coach Janice Olivencia said in a social media post. "She's a multi-sport athlete with a strong competitive spirit and a true love for the game of golf. Kai is very committed to her growth, both as a player and as a person, and her emphasis on development will continue to lead her to new heights. Kai has big goals for Canes golf, with the work ethic to match."

Kai has made a number of notable golf appearances already.
She played a shot before an indoor TGL league match in January. Then she attended the Ryder Cup with the President.
This has the potential to be a big weekend for Kai. She's at Pelican Golf Club in Florida to make her LPGA debut as part of The ANNIKA, which she was given a sponsorship exemption to take part in.
The legendary Annika Sorenstam played nine holes with Kai on Monday.
“I was talking to her about my tendencies," Sorenstam told the Golf Channel, "and said, ‘What are your tendencies?’ And she went off, this is what I do, and I’m trying to do that. Wow, [I’m thinking] she’s really interested in just getting better and learning about her swing. You know, she was telling me her hip is going this way and everything. OK, I’m just listening. I’m not going to give you any pointers here because it’s a little bit late, just a few days before the event. But just the excitement of learning and getting better, I thought that was pretty cool. I was trying to remember if I was 18 and I would play with somebody, if I would dare to ask a question. I probably would’ve been super quiet.”
Kai shared with Fox News the advice she got from her grandfather about this weekend's event: "Go out there and have fun. Just don't get nervous."
The President's granddaughter has said in the past that she hopes to become a professional golfer.
She'll play in a pro event this weekend, and then she'll get to pursue a Division I career at Miami, in the hopes of fulfilling that dream.
