Taylor Swift hung out on late night television Wednesday, joining The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for a highly anticipated appearance.

While there were plenty of laughs and fun moments, the significant part to fans of the pop star's relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce came when Colbert asked Swift who she turns to for advice.

Swift pointed to Kelce, who she called the "love of my life."

Colbert's question was in the context of dealing with outside criticism and of people who want Swift to step out of the spotlight.

She pushed back that she doesn't want to step back, then said of Kelce, "I can talk to him about any of this."

Kelce made it back into Swift's comments when Colbert congratulated Swift on a big year -- getting engaged and getting the masters of her music back.

"That's a good year," Swift happily replied. "Those two things that you mentioned, right, like getting engaged to the love of my life, getting all my music back -- those are two things that just could have never happened. It wasn't like, 'Oh, it's just a matter of time.' Like, both of those things could have just never arrived in my life and I'm so grateful for both those things happening and my fans are why I was able to get my music back."

Kelce and Swift were engaged in August.

Earlier this month, they announced that their wedding would take place on June 13, 2026.

NFL fans will be wondering whether Kelce plans to retire before then. For now, the Chiefs are chasing a miracle playoff berth in what is their worst season of the Patrick Mahomes era.
