Mark Sanchez had an impressive roster of famous girlfriends before marrying actress Perry Mattfeld. 

The former NFL quarterback turned Fox sports broadcaster, who was arrested on Saturday, Oct. 4 after allegedly getting into a physical altercation that resulted in a stabbing with a man in downtown Indianapolis, dated several Hollywood stars before settling down. 

From his long-term relationships to his shorter flings, here's a look back at Mark Sanchez's dating history before he tied the knot.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler

Sanchez was once linked to "The Sopranos" star Jamie-Lynn Sigler. 

The former New York Jets quarterback reportedly had a brief, three month fling with Sigler in 2010, however, the courtship ended almost quickly as it started. 

According to "Page Six," a source claimed that the couple split due to Sanchez's wandering eye. 

"It was a mutual decision, but Jamie-Lynn was ready to move on from Mark. He is 23 and determined to prove he’s a hot commodity by playing the field, but she is 29 and is looking for a more mature and stable relationship," the source shared. 

Hayden Panettiere

Sanchez was linked to actress Hayden Panettiere in 2011, although the duo never confirmed that they were officially dating. 

At the time, Panettiere voiced her frustrations over the dating rumors, telling "US Weekly," "I swear I'm not dating him at all. Honestly. I'm a huge Jets fan and became very good friends with him and his buddies." 

"There's genuinely, absolutely nothing going on. I've always been that girl who has a lot of dude friends. I'm into sports so we have a lot in common, but no, definitely 100% not dating," she added. 

Shortly after the relationship rumors started swirling, Panettiere confirmed that she was actually dating another Jets player, wide receiver Scotty McKnight. 

Kate Upton

Sanchez was said to be in a relationship with model and actress Kate Upton in 2011. 

Rumors of a romance started swirling after the former Jets star was spotted making several late-night visits to the supermodel's apartment. 

Sanchez and the "Other Woman" actress never confirmed that they were an item, although Upton hinted at the rumored fling in 2012 when she was asked if she was single following her first "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit" cover at the age of 19.

"What do you think," Upton replied coyly. 

Eva Longoria

After his fling with Upton in 2011, Sanchez moved on to actress Eva Longoria a year later, in 2012. The "Desperate Housewives" alum confirmed the romance after the duo were spotted on several dates together.

During one public outing, Longoria accompanied Sanchez to Del Frisco's steakhouse to celebrate the Jet's 48-28 win over the Buffalo Bills. The couple were photographed enjoying another date night near Sanchez's Bedminster, New Jersey around the same time.

While she didn't share where they met or how long they'd been dating, Longoria commented on the relationship to "Extra" host Mario Lopez, saying, “Mark and I are, you know, fine. We’re happy just dating."

Perry Mattfeld

Sanchez started dating his now wife, actress Perry Mattfield, in 2017. 

They share twin daughters together. 

After five years together, Sanchez proposed to Mattfeld, a former USC cheerleader, in 2022 and the couple were married on May 28, 2023. The pair tied the knot in a romantic ceremony inside of a colonial monastery in Oaxaca, Mexico. 

Like many of his exes, Mattfeld is most notably known for career in acting, having starred on the television series "Shameless," and "In the Dark." 

She currently has a role on the Hulu comedy "Chad Powers," alongside actor Glen Powell. 

Sanchez was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft. 

He spent four seasons with the New York Jets, earning himself the nickname the "Sanchize."
