If you live in Indianapolis, then you know it's Memorial Day weekend and time once again for the Indianapolis 500. Indiana Fever star Lexie Hull knew it as well. Hull, who entered Gainbridge Fieldhouse ahead of her team's massive national TV game against the New York Liberty, showed her respect.
Hull, shown in a photo from the Fever's Instagram account on Saturday, May 24, wore an Indianapolis 500 starter's jacket. But that wasn't all. Hull also had on a short black dress matched with knee-high black boots. She knew that the cameras would be rolling ahead of the game. Looking her best for the fans and followers of the team was important...and she knew it.
Hull did her best, along with teammate Caitlin Clark, to help the Fever knock off the defending WNBA champion Liberty. But it was not to happen as the Liberty nudged past Indiana 90-88 before a raucous crowd.
Hull has played an integral role in helping get the Fever back in title contention this season. While the WNBA season is still young, getting a win over New York would have been a feather in the team's cap. Now, the Fever have more work to do. And Hull will be rolling out more fashion looks in the days and months ahead.
