While the New York Knicks trail the Indiana Pacers 2–1 in the Eastern Conference Finals, they mounted a remarkable comeback in Game 3, overcoming a 20-point deficit to secure a 106–100 victory in Indiana.
And as the hometown heroes aim to even the series at tonight’s Game 4 in Indiana, a rally cry has been issued by one of Hollywood’s top A-listers.
With her latest Instagram video (shared after New York's Game 3 comeback victory) Anne Hathaway is hyping up fans as she passionately mouths the lyrics to the team's anthem "Go NY Go.”
Donning a Knicks bomber jacket and blue-tinted sunglasses, the Oscar-winning actress appears all smiles as she lip syncs in the video, which is interspersed with highlights from the game and includes the caption, "Let’s GOOOO!!!"
In response, many fans shared their mutual enthusiasm, with one writing, “Knicks Hathaway takeover lol,” and another posting, “Let get it Annie.’
A proud New Jersey native and longtime Knicks supporter, Hathaway has been actively cheering on the team throughout the playoffs. Earlier in the postseason, she posted a similar video following the Knicks' second-round win over the Celtics, which was shared by Knicks forward OG Anunoby on his Instagram story.
Hathaway is just one of many famous New York Knicks fans who regularly attend the games at Madison Square Garden. Other notable loyalists include director Spike Lee, actor Ben Stiller, comedian Tracy Morgan, actor Timothée Chalamet, musician Bad Bunny, and football player Russell Wilson.
