Waiting is the hardest part in Formula 1.

Things are getting good in the driver's championship this year: Red Bull enters the British Grand Prix on a five-race winning streak, with Max Verstappen sitting firmly atop the table entering Lewis Hamilton's home GP.

This year hasn't just been about Verstappen and Hamilton, though: Youngster Lando Norris has staked his claim as the next, extremely talented racer who could one day secure a championship for himself. The McLaren driver has finished in the top five for eight of the nine races run so far this year, earning podiums in three of those races.

Here's what you need to know about the next F1 race:

  • Next F1 race: British Grand Prix
  • Date: Sunday, July 18
  • Lights out: 10 a.m. ET

F1 drivers head to fan favorite Silverstone Circuit on July 18 for Round 10 of the 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship.

Lewis Hamilton will touch home turf this year; Last year at Silverstone, Hamilton took home a memorable win, popping his tire on the closing lap and finishing the race on just three wheels. He still finished five seconds ahead of Max Verstappen.

Hamilton and Mercedes could certainly use the win; Red Bull has taken home five consecutive races.
