Like last year’s event, the reigning WWE Champion will face the reigning WWE World Champion, for both men and women. The main belts are not on the line. The winner will be the WWE Crown Jewel Champion.
Cody Rhodes, last year’s champion, faces an old rival in Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, Stephanie Vaquer faces Tiffany Stratton.
Meanwhile, John Cena and AJ Styles will clash at the event. Cena, back as a face, had no plans heading into Crown Jewel. He posted on social media about facing Styles, a man he feuded with in 2016, before retiring and WWE obliged.

Speaking of rivals, Roman Reigns looks to take down "The Tribal Thief" Bronson Reed in a Street Fight. Reed, from Adelaide, attempts to rid The Vision of Reigns.
Rhea Ripley, also from Adelaide, teams with friend Iyo Sky against Asuka and Kairi Sane. The Kabuki Warriors betrayed Sky, who was conflicted with their turn. Still, she teams with Ripley to take on her former friends and partners.
