Bathurst 1000 Top 10 Shootout results: Brodie Kostecki claims a third-straight pole position at Mount Panorama image

Brodie Kostecki claimed a third-straight Bathurst 1000 pole position with a flying lap of 2:04.041 in Saturday's Top 10 Shootout at Mount Panorama.

Last year's race winner was last man out after qualifying fastest on Friday and he looked every bit the man to beat, turning in the sharpest first and third sectors to lock in first spot on the grid, with Cam Waters alongside him in second place.

A slight error at turn one and some shaky moments across the top of the mountain appeared to cost Broc Feeney, with the championship leader set to start from fifth on the grid.

The results from Saturday's Shootout means it will be Fords across the first two rows of the grid, with Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood in third and fourth, respectively.

Kostecki and co-driver Todd Hazlewood will now look to go back-to-back in Sunday's race, which is due to begin at 11:45 am AEDT.
