All eyes remain on Paris, France, as the second grand slam of the 2025 tennis season, the French Open continues, culminating on Sunday, June 8 with the men's singles final.
Carlos Alcaraz is the men's defending champion and is on track to retain his crown.
He came into this edition of Roland-Garros on the back of excellent performances in this year's clay swing, having won the Monte Carlo Open and Italian Open. However, it will be a far from easy task for the young Spaniard to defend his title with the likes of Zverev, World No. 1 Jannik Sinner, and Novak Djokovic vying for the trophy.
In the women's field, 'queen of the clay' Iga Swiatek is looking to make history by becoming the first woman in more than a century to win the French Open on four consecutive occasions, matching Suzanne Lenglen's record.
The 23-year-old will however have a challenger in World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka who has been impressive in the WTA tour this year, having won three titles.
