It's been a tough few years to be a Nick Kyrgios fan. Since reaching the final of Wimbledon in 2022, the 30-year-old has continually struggled with injuries, heavily reducing his activity on the ATP scene.
But in some positive news for the former top-ranked Aussie, Kyrgios is locked in for three matches before the end of the calendar year, as the countdown to the Australian Open begins.
Confirming the news on his Instagram story, Kyrgios announced that he would be competing in two separate matches against Americans Ben Shelton and Tommy Paul, before ending 2025 by taking part in the 'Battle of the Sexes' event in Dubai, against the number one ranked woman in the world, Aryna Sabalenka.
"To all my fans wondering [about] my schedule over the next month or two, I'm actually leaving to Miami on the 30th of November, and then heading to Atlanta to play Ben Shelton, the exciting young American, the 'new and improved Kyrgios.' And then short turnaround to go to New York, Madison Square Garden... I can't believe I'm going there again to play Tommy Paul," Kyrgios told his fanbase on Instagram.

"And then we have some more events later in the year, obviously the 'Battle of the Sexes.'
"But I cannot wait to get back out on court. Honestly I'm feel amazing, I never thought I'd be back into this position, being able to travel the world, see my fans, and play some amazing tennis."
After arguably the best year of his career in 2022, Kyrgios has been repeatedly struck down with injury in the ensuing years, forcing him into multiple surgeries, most notably on his knee and wrist.
He has only been able to make sporadic appearances on the circuit as a result. Earlier this year he played in his first Australian Open in three years, but months later he was forced to withdraw from Wimbledon and the U.S. Open for the third consecutive year.
His last official singles match came in March of this year, a straight sets loss to Karen Khachanov in the second round of the Miami Open. In July he teamed up with French star Gael Monfils for the Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington, but the pair were bounced in the first round.
Last month, Kyrgios hinted at potentially playing at the Australian Open in two months' time, or at least once more at some point in his career.
Kyrgios will require a wildcard entry for the home grand slam, with the Aussie star currently ranked just 650 in the world, as a result of his inactivity.
