Australians at the US Open 2022: Results, schedule and scores for Aussie players image

The 2022 US Open got underway on August 30 (AEST) with a number of Australians looking to impress.

A total of 10 Aussies qualified for the men's singles draw with Nick Kyrgios looming as a genuine contender before losing in the quarter-finals. 

In the women's singles draw, Ajla Tomljanović also reached the quarter-final before suffering a tight sets defeat. 

Sam Stosur was the last Australian to win a US Open singles title when she beat Serena Williams in the 2011 final.
