After a dominant 2025, world number one Aryna Sabalenka has picked up where she left off, beginning 2026 by taking home the Brisbane International in straight sets.
Sabalenka cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 win over Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, continuing her streak of having never dropped a set in her five professional meetings with the 23-year-old.
It's the 27-year-old's 22nd WTA singles title, and her fifth on Australian soil.
She now turns her attention to the Australian Open, which she claimed in 2023 and 2024, and made the final of in 2025.

Sabalenka looked in fine form throughout her opening tournament of the year, not dropping a set en route to the title, discarding stars of the WTA scene such as Madison Keys and Karolina Muchova on her way to the final.
She will begin next's week Open as the top seed.
