Zac Lomax meets with new club after shock R360 delay image

Speculation about Zac Lomax's future is currently centered around Perth with the talent in discussions with Western Force Super Rugby club.

The 26-year-old is scrambling to figure out his plans for 2026 after the delay of new competition R360 - which was initially set to launch in October 2026.

Now with R360 not starting until at least 2028, Lomax is studying rugby options in Europe, Japan and Australia - with CODE Sports reporting the Force is showing him around their facilities over the next two days.

Lomax's likely salary in Super Rugby would be around $150,000-a-season, with competitions in Europe and Japan offering more than that amount.

He earned approximately $625,000 annually at the Eels, while he was set to rake in more than US$1 million at R360.

Lomax has plenty of options for 2026 and beyond, with a move to rugby likely to give him an opportunity to play for the Wallabies in the 2027 World Cup in Australia.

He was also spotted sparring with UFC fighters recently in Wollongong with the possibility he switches his career to combat sports.

If Lomax joins the Force for 2026 and the situation doesn't really work, he will have the option of remaining in Perth for the Bears inaugural season in 2027 - with big money likely on offer.
