St George Illawarra wiped the slate clean and started over again ahead of Shane Flanagan's second term in charge of the club.
The Dragons have experienced a huge overhaul of their roster with Ben Hunt and Zac Lomax two headline exits, while Clint Gutherson, Valentine Holmes, Lachlan Ilias and Damien Cook have arrived.
The Red V were firmly in the finals picture late last season before they suffered a collapse when it mattered most and a similar scenario has unfolded this time around.
