Manly have bolstered their depth and versatility for 2026 with the signing of experienced hooker and utility Zach Dockar-Clay on a one-year deal.

The 30-year-old joins the Sea Eagles from the Roosters, returning to the Northern Beaches after previously captaining the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles in the NSW Cup back in 2019.

Dockar-Clay has carved out a strong professional career making 36 NRL appearances since his 2022 debut with Canterbury, while also being twice selected in the NRL Allstars fixture.

Known for his toughness and adaptability, he offers coverage across several positions including hooker and the halves — a valuable addition for a Manly side intent on improving next season.

Coach Anthony Seibold said Dockar-Clay’s experience and leadership will be key for the squad heading into pre-season.

“Zach returns to the club a vastly more experienced player, having been an integral part of the Roosters NRL team over the last two seasons,” Seibold said.

“He’s been part of a winning New Zealand Test squad, and his ability to cover multiple positions gives us great utility value off the bench. We look forward to him competing hard and adding to our squad.” Seibold went on to state.

A proud Māori All Stars representative, Dockar-Clay featured in this year’s Pacific Championships as part of New Zealand’s victorious Test side — further proof of his ability and work ethic.

He will link up with his new teammates later this month as Manly begin their preparations for the 2026 season and contend for a spot in the Sea Eagles top 17 for round one.
