Wests Tigers have secured the signature of 19-year-old rising star Jack Attard, following a breakout 2025 season across multiple Penrith Panthers grades.

The talented forward, who has come through the Penrith Panthers development system, made an impressive impact this year, featuring in the SG Ball Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, and Knock-On Effect NSW Cup all within the same season.

Attard’s stellar year followed his selection in the 2024 Australian Schoolboys squad, earned through a standout performance at the Australian Secondary Schools Rugby League (ASSRL) Championships.

He shone in the Grand Final, leading NSW Combined Catholic Colleges to a dominant 40-12 victory over NSW Combined High Schools.

Attard was joined on the Australian Schoolboys tour by fellow Wests Tigers Pathways player Jared Haywood, with both expected to return for the 2026 pre-season.

On joining the club, Attard said he was eager to begin his next chapter in the NRL.

“Very excited to be joining the Wests Tigers and ripping in with the boys to kick off pre-season,” Attard said in the club statement.

“After speaking with Benji and seeing what’s been happening around the Club, I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and being part of this group.

“There’s a lot of great players and coaches here at the Tigers and I’m keen to learn as much as I can and continue to improve my game,” Attard concluded.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Benji Marshall welcomed the young gun’s arrival, praising both his talent and attitude.

“A great young kid who we’re really happy to have joining us this year,” Marshall said.

“Jack will be a great fit for our group. He’s got a lot of talent but also a really good young character who wants to develop and grow as a player.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming Jack and his family into the Club and getting started with pre-season,” Marshall concluded.
