The Rugby League Players Association has revealed a powerful ‘dream team’ for the 2025 NRL season—with a few notable omissions.

As voted for by NRL players, the side features the top 13 players by position as well as a 14th impact player.

With players representing just seven of the 17 clubs—and none from the Penrith Panthers or Cronulla Sharks—the 2025 side includes five first-time selections headlined by RLPA rookie of the year Mark Nawaqanitawase along with Xavier Coates, Hudson Young, Erin Clark and Kurt Mann.

Dally M medalist favourite James Tedesco has also become the first player to be chosen for the RLPA honour five times, while Brisbane Broncos prop Payne Haas has gained his fourth selection.

“The Players’ Dream Team is one of the most significant awards in rugby league because it is player voted,” RLPA chief executive Clint Newton said.

“This team – along with all NRL players – delivered for their clubs and fans to produce one of the most memorable and successful years in the game’s history.”

Following on from the RLPA awards, the 2025 NRL Dally M Medal ceremony takes place next week on Wednesday October 1, four days before the NRL grand final.
