Bulldogs team news:

It was a disastrous night for the Bulldogs in more ways than one during their qualifying final defeat to Melbourne.

Stephen Crichton limped from the field with a foot injury, while Enari Tuala joined his skipper on the sidelines during the Storm loss and has since been ruled out for the rest of the year with a broken leg.

Bronson Xerri missed the opening week of finals after copping a head knock in the last round of the regular season and will make a welcome return in the centres.

He will be joined in the centres by Matt Burton, who has been named to take Crichton's place. However, the captain has been included in the extended squad in a shock development.

Marcelo Montoya also looms in the reserves as the winger seeks to return from a foot injury.

As a result of Burton's positional switch, Toby Sexton has been brought into the halves and will partner Lachlan Galvin, while Reed Mahoney has been recalled at hooker.

Viliame Kikau suffered a facial injury during the opening exchanges of last week's match. The backrower returned to the fray and has been named to start in this one despite fears he had sustained a fractured eye socket.

Sam Hughes dropped out of the team late on for the qualifying final against the Storm and Harry Hayes has retained his place on the pine after being his replacement.

Update:

Crichton will not play for the Dogs in the semis after failing to overcome a foot injury in time. Montoya also won't be a late addition to the side after being cut from the squad.

The Panthers must now beat the Bulldogs to advance through to the preliminary finals and could have a clean bill of health for the do-or-die clash.

Mitch Kenny missed the win in Auckland after being ruled out with a hamstring injury and is a late addition after being included in the extended squad this week.

Raiders team news:

Canberra will need to pick themselves up and dust themselves off after going down in a heartbreaking loss to Brisbane.

Ricky Stuart has named an unchanged outfit for this one as the minor premiers attempt to remain in the title hunt.

Josh Papalii was in major doubt for the qualifying final after suffering an ankle injury in training. However, the prop   got through the clash unscathed and will play in the semis.

Zac Hosking was charged for dangerous contact following his side's loss to the Broncos, although the backrower has been able to escape with just a fine.

Sharks team news:

Cronulla knocked off the Roosters in their elimination final to advance through to the semis and Craig Fitzgibbon has named an unchanged side following the victory.

Tom Hazelton was named to feature off the bench against the Chooks, yet he was a late omission due to an infection in his knee. The big forward has only been included in the extended squad to start with this week.

Briton Nikora returned from a three-match suspension via the bench last week as he was unable to dislodge Billy Burns from the starting side. The Kiwi international has had to settle for a place on the pine once again.

Update:

Oregon Kaufusi has dropped off the bench in a late move, with Hazelton returning to the 17 after missing out last week.
