Former Manly Sea Eagles outside back Tommy Talau has yet to reveal his next move following his departure from the club at the end of the 2025 NRL season, with sources suggesting a decision could come sooner than expected.
The 25-year-old was one of nine teammates released by the club at the end of the season, alongside notable names such as Daly Cherry-Evans, Toafofoa Sipley, Josh Aloiai, and Jazz Tevaga.
While many would expect another NRL club to snap him up, Zero Tackle reports that Talau is open to taking his talents overseas to the Super League.
This comes after contract negotiations between Talau and Manly over a potential extension reportedly broke down, leaving the centre without a confirmed deal for next season, according to Zero Tackle.

During his two years wearing the white and maroon, Talau made 36 appearances for the club, scoring 21 tries and providing six try assists.
Although he took the field 23 times for Manly in 2024, Talau has managed just 13 appearances this season.
The 25-year-old also featured twice for the Sea Eagles’ NSW Cup squad, scoring a try in each game.
Before moving to the peninsula, Talau spent four seasons with the Wests Tigers, playing 37 games and crossing the try line 20 times.
"I'm just really focused on trying to play good footy," Talau told The Daily Telegraph in August.
"That's all I've been trying to do this year. I've had a bit of a rough run with injuries and not being in the team and whatnot.
"I feel healthy now, and being back in the team is also really good for me. It's obviously been a different year, a bit of a challenging year for myself.
"I sort of started off being injured and whatnot, but I'm just trying to string a few games along at the back-end of this year and finish on a high note.
"I know I've got a lot of good footy in front of me. Hopefully I can get my body right and back to playing good footy."
