Manly will be without big man Toafofoa Sipley for the start of the new season following a crusher tackle that saw Roosters recruit Dom Young taken to hospital for precautionary scans.

From Sunday's games, Warriors rookie Zyon Maiu'u has paid a heavy price for his send-off hit on Declan Casey.

Meanwhile, Canberra's Noah Martin has been suspended, while a host of players have been charged following their pre-season challenge matches.

Zyon Maiu'u hit hard over high tackle

Warriors youngster Zyon Maiu'u has been suspended for two games after he was sent off for a high shot on Declan Casey on Sunday.

Maiu'u was been charged with a grade two reckless high tackle, with Casey stretchered from the field following the hit.

Toafofoa Sipley suspended over Dom Young crusher

Sipley was hit with a grade two crusher tackle charge for the incident in the second half of the Sea Eagles' 36-22 loss to the Roosters in Gosford.

A prior offence on his record added to the prop's judiciary ruling.

He has entered an early guilty plea and will serve a three-week suspension.

Noah Martin charged over high shot

Canberra's Noah Martin will spend one match on the sideline following a high shot on Luca Moretti in his side's win over the Eels, entering an early guilty plea.

Tom Hazelton escapes suspension despite poor record

A careless high tackle on Matt Croker earned Hazelton a grade one charge - his third such offence in the past 12 months.

He has been fined $3,000 with an early guilty plea.
