NRL injury list 2025: Your club’s medical news, casualty ward, player return dates image

The NRL season reached its climax with Melbourne and Brisbane facing off in a classic grand final. 

However, rugby league isn't over for the year just yet with the Ashes and Pacific Championships to take centre stage.

The Sporting News provides all the latest injury updates.

Brisbane Broncos

Broncos injury news:

Adam Reynolds limped from the field during the decider after suffering a calf injury, while Ben Hunt then joined him on the sidelines after copping a head knock. 

Billy Walters suffered an ACL injury during his side's win over the Raiders in their qualifying final. In a bitter blow, the playmaker will be sidelined for the vast majority of next season. 

Hayze Perham ruptured his ACL during his side's first trial match and will be sidelined for the entire season.

Raiders injury news:

Corey Horsburgh suffered a collarbone injury during the Australian PM's XIII match against their PNG counterparts. The forward is expected to return to pre-season training in December and will be good to go for Round 1. 

Xavier Savage suffered a season-ending injury after fracturing his shoulder in the Raiders' Round 25 win over Penrith.

Bulldogs injury news:

Stephen Crichton suffered a foot injury during the first half of his side's qualifying final against the Storm. The skipper missed the rest of the club's finals campaign and has also been ruled out of the Pacific Championships for Samoa. 

Marcelo Montoya went down with an ankle injury in his side's final regular season game. The winger was named in the reserves for the semis, but was unable to prove his fitness in time. 

Enari Tuala joined Stephen Crichton on the sidelines during their qualifying final and he has since been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after suffering a fractured leg.

Sharks injury news:

Tom Hazelton suffered a concussion during the first half of his side's semi-final against the Raiders.

Cameron McInnes was taken from the field during his side's Round 24 victory over the Titans with a knee injury. It has since been confirmed the forward suffered an ACL injury. 

Kade Dykes ruptured his patella tendon while playing in the NSW Cup in Round 8 and will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Liam Ison suffered a confirmed ACL rupture while playing in the opening round of the NSW Cup. He will miss the rest of the season.

Dolphins injury news:

Herbie Farnworth suffered a hamstring injury during the first half of his side's Round 22 clash against the Warriors. He will return to action for England in the Ashes Test series. 

Kodi Nikorima was ruled out of New Zealand's Pacific Championships campaign due to an unspecified injury. 

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow suffered an MCL injury during his side's Round 27 clash against the Raiders, which will see him miss the Pacific Championships. 

Connelly Lemuelu was sidelined with a knee issue he picked up in Round 26 and will not play again this year. 

Tom Flegler played just four games during his first year at the Dolphins in 2024 due to a serious shoulder issue. The prop has since revealed he is hoping to return to action at the start of next season. 

Jack Bostock suffered a season-ending ACL injury against the Knights in Round 16 in a bitter blow. 

Max Plath returned from a foot injury in Round 14, however he didn't last long with the luckless forward suffering an ACL injury that will sideline him for the rest of the campaign. 

Tom Gilbert suffered another injury on the eve of the Origin opener as the Phins' captain sustained a ruptured pec in Round 11. He will not return this season.  

Daniel Saifiti suffered a shoulder issue during his side's loss to the Raiders in Round 8 and despite initially being expected to return, he suffered a setback in his rehab and has since been ruled out for the year. 

Gold Coast Titans

Titans injury news:  

Phillip Sami missed the last two games of the season after being troubled by a groin issue.  

Jojo Fifita missed the last game of the regular season after suffering a hamstring injury in Round 26. 

Jaimin Jolliffe was ruled out for the remainder of the season after he suffered a PCL injury in Round 24. 

David Fifita picked up another ankle issue in Round 20 and has been ruled out for the rest of the year. 

Alofiana Khan-Pereira suffered a hamstring injury during his side's loss to the Rabbitohs in Round 23. The winger will not play again this season. 

Brock Gray suffered an ACL tear during his side's Round 8 meeting with the Cowboys and will miss the rest of the season.

Sea Eagles injury news: 

Tolutau Koula went down with a knee injury after a heavy collision in his side's Round 26 victory over the Dragons. However, he will return in the Pacific Championships. 

Tommy Talau suffered a broken thumb during Manly's Round 27 clash against the Warriors. 

Aaron Schoupp sustained a knee injury after replacing Talau during the club's final game of the season. 

Tof Sipley has likely played his last game in the NRL after he copped a four-match ban at the judiciary for a dangerous tackle during his side's Round 26 clash against the Dragons. 

Taniela Paseka suffered a ruptured Achilles during his side's Round 3 win over the Raiders. After undergoing surgery, the prop will not return this season despite getting close to returning to action. 

Lachlan Croker was initially scheduled to return in Round 22 after suffering from concussion symptoms.  However, he has since been put on ice for the rest of the season.  

Nathan Brown suffered an injury during his side's win over the Tigers in Round 17 and will be sidelined for the rest of the year after requiring surgery to repair a ruptured biceps tendon. 

Reuben Garrick left the field with a shoulder injury midway through the first half of his side's clash against the Tigers in Round 24. He has since been ruled out for the rest of the season. 

Jake Trbojevic was taken from the field in concerning scenes for the prop during his side's Round 23 loss after he copped another head knock. He will sit out the remainder of the season. 

Haumole Olakau'atu suffered a dislocated shoulder while attempting to tackle Viliame Kikau during his side's loss to the Bulldogs in Round 21. The backrower will miss the remainder of the campaign. 

Josh Aloiai hurt his shoulder midway through the first half of their Round 13 match against the Broncos and is set to be forced into premature retirement.

Storm injury news:

Nelson Asofa-Solomona copped a three-match ban for a high tackle in Round 27. He missed the rest of the NRL season, although will return to action in the Pacific Championships. 

Jahrome Hughes has been sidelined for the Pacific Championships as he requires surgery on his shoulder. 

Jack Howarth was taken off in the first half of the grand final after succumbing to a groin injury. 

Trent Loiero copped a two-game suspension for a high tackle during Melbourne's loss to Brisbane in the grand final.

Knights injury news:

Adam Elliott suffered a biceps injury in the first half of the game against the Panthers in Round 12 and was sidelined ever since. 

Dylan Lucas limped from the field in Round 19 after suffering a foot injury, which sidelined him for the rest of the campaign. 

Kalyn Ponga was taken off midway through the second half of Newcastle's clash against Canberra in Round 17, with scans later confirming a Lisfranc injury.

Fletcher Sharpe suffered a lacerated kidney in Round 16 and was hospitalised in Perth. He will miss the rest of the campaign.

Warriors injury news:

Jacob Laban suffered a broken leg after being the victim of a dangerous tackle from Felise Kaufusi during his side's Round 22 loss to the Phins. 

Ali Leiataua was on track to make his return in Round 25 before his recovery timeline on an ankle injury was extended indefinitely.

Rocco Berry suffered a dislocated shoulder during the opening exchanges of his side's clash against the Sea Eagles in Round 27 and has been ruled out for the rest of the year. 

Luke Metcalf ruptured his ACL after being crunched in a tackle in Round 17 and missed the rest of the season. 

Mitchell Barnett suffered a devastating ACL injury while backing up after Origin I which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. 

Tohu Harris played just 14 matches in 2024 after struggling with a wrist injury and in a major shock has been unable to recover from the issue. He announced his retirement just two months out from the start of the season.

Murray Taulagi limped from the field with a hamstring issue during his side's heavy loss to the Dolphins in Round 20. He will return to action in the Pacific Championships. 

Viliami Vailea dropped out of his side's last game of the season after suffering a hamstring injury. 

Coen Hess will not play again this season after the forward copped a three-game ban for a dangerous tackle during his side's Round 23 loss to the Eels. 

Griffin Neame has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a shoulder injury in Round 22. 

Robert Derby has been sidelined for the rest of the campaign after suffering a knee injury in Round 22. 

Heilum Luki will miss the entirety of the campaign after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season. 

Tom Chester will be sidelined until 2026 after suffering an ACL rupture in the pre-season.

Isaiah Tass suffered an ACL injury while playing at the Murri carnival following the end of the season. He will miss the first half of his side's 2026 NRL campaign. 

Jamie Humphreys was issued with a two-match ban for dangerous contact during his side's last game of the season against the Roosters. As a result, he will miss the opening weeks of the 2026 season. 

Latrell Mitchell was ruled out of Round 24 after succumbing to a back issue in training. He did not return for the rest of the season and will miss the Ashes. 

Ryan Gray lasted just 10 minutes of his side's clash against the Broncos in Round 22 after suffering a shoulder issue and has been sidelined for the rest of the year. 

Jayden Sullivan sustained a lower limb fracture and associated ankle injury during a heavy loss to the Newtown Jets. 

Campbell Graham was sidelined with a back issue ahead of Round 20 and was then ruled out for the rest of the year.  

Tevita Tatola suffered a dislocated shoulder during his side's loss to the Sharks in Round 21. 

Davvy Moale saw his season ended after Round 18 due to a troublesome wrist issue that required surgery.

Valentine Holmes has been ruled out for the rest of the campain after suffering a shoulder injury during his side's loss to the Roosters in Round 19. 

Toby Couchman dislocated his right shoulder in Round 17 and he will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Dylan Egan suffered an ACL injury during his side's win over the Broncos in Round 11 and will miss the rest of the campaign. 

Ryan Couchman suffered an ACL rupture in Round 1 which has ruled him out for the season. 

Tom Eisenhuth announced his retirement from the game midway through the season.

Tigers injury news:

Taylan May was initially selected to play for Samoa in the Pacific Championships. However, he suffered a torn quad and will not play again this year. 

Latu Fainu suffered a shoulder injury in his side's Round 27 loss to the Titans. It has since been revealed that he required a shoulder reconstruction that will see him miss the opening weeks of the 2026 campaign. 

Jeral Skelton left the field in the second half of his side's Round 26 defeat to the Raiders with a head knock and will not play again this season. 

Adam Doueihi suffered a fractured cheekbone while attempting to make a tackle during his side's loss to the Cowboys in Round 25 and will miss the rest of the year. 

Justin Olam was forced into early retirement after failing to recover from a knee injury he suffered last season.
