Cronulla prospect signs with new club after ending three-year stay in the Shire image

Max Bradbury’s time in the Shire has come to an end, with the young prop parting ways with the Cronulla Sharks after three years at the club.

The 21-year-old, who joined Cronulla in a swap deal that sent Lachlan Miller to Newcastle, has now signed with the Tweed Heads Seagulls for the 2026 Queensland Cup season.

Bradbury, a former NSW under-19 State of Origin representative, never cracked the NRL during his stint at Cronulla, but featured regularly for feeder side Newtown Jets in the NSW Cup, making 25 appearances, 18 of them in the 2025 campaign.

Fresh start on the Gold Coast

The Tweed Heads Seagulls, who are affiliated with the Gold Coast Titans, confirmed Bradbury’s arrival on social media, welcoming the prop ahead of what could be a pivotal year in his development. The move keeps his first-grade ambitions alive, with the Seagulls offering a potential pathway into the Titans’ system through pre-season and injury replacement opportunities.

It’s a timely switch, too, with the Titans currently boasting the most open roster spots in the NRL for 2027, 23 in total, after parting ways with veteran forward Reagan Campbell-Gillard. A standout season with Tweed could put Bradbury in the frame for a Gold Coast call-up as he continues to chase his NRL debut.

Tweed Heads have also bolstered their ranks with the addition of ex-South Sydney playmaker Ryan Gray, signalling a busy off-season of recruitment for the Queensland Cup outfit.
