London Broncos reveal latest NRL recruit following RCG’s capture image

Fresh off signing former NSW Blues prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard, the London Broncos have added another NRL name to their growing ranks, confirming the arrival of halfback Dean Hawkins for the 2026 season.

The 26-year-old, released by the Parramatta Eels earlier this week, will make the move to England after slipping down the pecking order following the impending arrival of playmaker Jonah Pezet.

Hawkins made 12 appearances for the Eels this year and was crowned the 2023 NSW Cup Player of the Year for his sharp game management and consistency.

‘A sharp, composed half with a lethal boot’

The Broncos announced the signing on social media, writing: “We’re thrilled to welcome Dean ‘Footy Dean’ Hawkins – a sharp, composed half with elite game management and a lethal boot. A former South Sydney junior and 2022 NSW Cup Player of the Year, Dean joins from the Parramatta Eels bringing NRL experience and leadership to the Broncos halves.”

Before his stint with Parramatta, Hawkins played 14 games for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he developed a reputation as a reliable organiser in the halves.

He’ll now reunite with former teammate Siliva Havili in London, alongside Campbell-Gillard, as the Broncos look to strengthen their push for promotion from the English Super League’s second tier.
