New details have surfaced surrounding Gehamat Shibasaki’s controversial night out on Sunday, which ultimately led to the Broncos centre being dropped from the side.
Revealed by Courier Mail, Shibasaki reportedly breached a team-imposed alcohol ban by drinking with family and friends over the weekend.
The situation worsened when the 27-year-old allegedly arrived at training on Monday worse for wear, prompting Broncos officials to axe him from this week’s lineup.
Adding to the controversy, several Dolphins players were also present on the night out, including fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow.

However, there is no suggestion that any other players drank as heavily as Shibasaki.
The incident has sparked internal discussions within the club as they prepare for their upcoming NRL clash.
Neither Shibasaki nor the Dolphins have publicly commented on the matter at this stage.
