Manly outside back Reuben Garrick has confirmed he will depart the Sea Eagles at the end of the 2026 NRL season after spending his entire career on the northern beaches.
It was previously reported Garrick was unhappy with the Sea Eagles contract offer, rejecting Manly’s two-year extension, which was reportedly worth around $550,000 per season.
Garrick informed the club on Thursday morning of his decision to leave and take up a contract with an NRL rival, according to CODE Sports.
The 28-year-old is believed to be following former teammate Daly Cherry-Evans to the Sydney Roosters on a two-year deal from the 2027 season.

The Dragons were also understood to be interested in luring the Illawarra product back, while the Perth Bears were touted as a potential big-money option, but both reportedly missed out on securing his signature.

The move comes as the Roosters plan for the departures of Mark Nawaqanitawase and the potential retirement of Daniel Tupou.
Another ex-Sea Eagle, Tommy Talau, is also set to join the Roosters on a one-year deal in December, making three top-line Manly players swapping the northern beaches for Bondi.
The versatile outside back is currently the third-highest point scorer in Manly history with 1,340 points and is expected to surpass Jamie Lyon in 2026, finishing his Sea Eagles career behind only Graham Eadie.
The loss of Garrick will be a major blow for the Sea Eagles, who lose a first-choice goal kicker, experienced club stalwart, and player capable of covering multiple positions across the backline.
If the signing becomes official, the Roosters have once again landed a key acquisition in the player market, with Garrick set to play a pivotal role in their premiership push in coming seasons.
