Brisbane are set to welcome Ezra Mam back into the fold in the coming weeks as the five-eighth continues to recover from a hamstring injury.
When the Broncos star pulled his hammy during his side’s loss to Melbourne in Round 23, there were initial fears he would miss the remainder of the season.
However, on the eve of the club’s qualifying final against Canberra, Ben Hunt has provided a positive update on the No.6.

Ezra Mam closing in on return as Broncos eye premiership tilt
"The mail I’m getting is that after this week, they will all be right to go," Hunt told SENQ.
Mam suffered the injury just seconds before Adam Reynolds also pulled up with a hamstring injury against the Storm.
He limped from the field in a disastrous sequence of events that plunged Michael Maguire’s outfit into disarray.
Following the 22-2 loss, as well as the injuries to Mam, Reynolds and Selwyn Cobbo, the Broncos’ season appeared to be on thin ice.
They sat in sixth spot on the ladder, with Cronulla, the Dolphins and Sydney Roosters all within striking distance of them.
But Hunt and Reece Walsh stepped up in their absences to eventually guide the team to a fourth-place finish, thanks to four wins on the bounce to close out the regular season.
And now things could get even better at Red Hill as Mam, Reynolds, Cobbo and Xavier Willison close in on returns.
"I’ve heard they’re getting pretty close," Hunt said of his teammates currently in the casualty ward.
"Reynolds and Ezra I think are the main two who are the closest to coming back. They’ll get through this week and we’ll see how they go."
The Broncos will venture to the nation's capital to take on the minor premiers this weekend for a chance to earn a home preliminary final.
If they lose to the Raiders, Maguire's side will instead host a semi-final at Suncorp Stadium next week, where they will take on either the Sharks or Roosters in a sudden-death match.
