The St George Illawarra Dragons have officially announced a series of major appointments to strengthen the club’s executive leadership team, marking a new era under recently appointed Chief Executive Officer Tim Watsford.
Ben Creagh, a Dragons legend, will step down from the board to take on the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer.
He will be joined by Ryan Deluca as Chief Financial Officer, Sam Attrill as Chief Revenue Officer, Daniela Armone as Chief of Staff, and Adam Hodge, who will commence later this month as Chief Customer Officer.
These appointments complete the club’s refreshed executive structure as the Dragons look to enhance performance both on and off the field.
After several successful years serving on the St George Illawarra and St George District Boards, Creagh transitions into club management with extensive experience and a strong understanding of the Dragons’ culture.
As Chief Operating Officer, Creagh will oversee all football operations, lead the management of the club’s elite facilities, including the soon-to-be-completed Bruce Gordon Centre and drive community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
“Ben is one of the club’s greats, our second most-capped player, a premiership winner, former captain and life member,” CEO Tim Watsford said.
“His deep passion for the Dragons, football credentials, and his leadership experience will be invaluable in ensuring continuous improvement across all areas of football and club operations.”
The Dragons’ new leadership team represents a significant step forward in the club’s long-term strategy to strengthen operations, enhance fan engagement, and build sustained success within the NRL.
