Samoan Test prop Francis Molo has quickly become one of the most in-demand forwards on the open market after Keaon Koloamatangi’s switch to the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Multiple NRL clubs are reportedly weighing up a play for the experienced middle following his strong 2025 campaign with the Dolphins where he enjoyed one of his best seasons.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs and Parramatta Eels, both beaten to Koloamatangi's signature, are expected to monitor Molo’s situation closely and have reported interest, according to Zero Tackle.

While Molo remains contracted at Redcliffe until the end of 2026, NRL rules allow him to negotiate with rival clubs immediately.

Interest in the 31-year-old has steadily built as clubs look to reinforce their forward stocks and Molo has now become one of the best remaining middle forward options on the player market.

Molo’s manager, Wayde Rushton, confirmed that while the Dolphins are keen to retain him, there is no shortage of clubs seeking experienced middle men.

“Frank is happy at Redcliffe and they want to keep him, but at the same time, he has to look after himself and his family, and there is definitely a demand for tough middle men in the NRL at the moment.” Rushton said.

Rushton added Molo’s strong performances for Samoa late in the year have boosted his value and he is seemingly confident that a new deal will be imminent for the hulking prop.

The surge in Molo’s profile comes as clubs reassess their forward depth following Koloamatangi’s move, reshaping the market for elite middle forwards.

The Rabbitohs and Eels are understood to see Molo as a short-term solution capable of delivering immediate impact, which with his experince and frame he could certainly provide.

With interest expected to intensify as the 2026 player market takes shape, Francis Molo is firmly a name to watch.
