The Dally M finalists have been announced for 2025 and one category in particular could deliver one of the season’s more unexpected postscripts.
Former Wests Tigers teammates Lachlan Galvin and Jarome Luai have been jointly nominated for this season’s Provan-Summons Award.
The Provan-Summons medal is awarded to the player adjudged to have displayed the true ‘spirit of the game’ during the NRL season.
Other nominees for the award include Parramatta winger Zac Lomax and departing Raiders halfback, Jamal Fogarty.

Beginning 2025 with high hopes as halves partners at Concord, the relationship between Galvin and Luai became the topic of fierce speculation following Galvin’s tumultuous mid-season departure for the Canterbury Bulldogs.
The pair were nominated following their post-match embrace in Round 22 after the Tigers upset the Bulldogs 28-14 in a rain sodden match at Commbank Stadium, with the hatchet well and truly buried between the former teammates.
The 2025 Dally M medalist, coach and team of the year will also be announced at a gala ceremony on Wednesday night at Sydney’s Randwick Racecourse.
