It isn’t just the Sea Eagles he’s leaving in 2026.
Star Sydney Roosters recruit Daly Cherry-Evans has announced he will vacate his two senior roles within the Rugby League Players Association.
Cherry-Evans succeeded Queensland legend Cameron Smith as General President of the RLPA in 2021 and has also served as a RLPA Board Director since 2019.
“The RLPA extends its deepest gratitude to Daly for the incredible leadership he has provided to the strongly united NRL and NRLW playing groups over many years, leaving a lasting legacy that will be felt by current and future players,” the RLPA announced in a statement.
