Canberra claimed their first minor premiership in over 30 years this season as the Raiders proved to be the surprise packet of the competition. 

However, despite securing two home finals, the Green Machine were bundled out of the title race in straight sets to bring the mood down after such an exciting season. 

Ricky Stuart has an array of talented youngsters at his disposal though and will be confident of being a premiership contender once again in 2026.

Which players have left the Canberra Raiders in 2025? 

Jamal Fogarty was a key component of Canberra's stellar run in 2025, yet the halfback elected to take up the security of a long-term deal at Manly in a major blow for the Raiders. 

The club's forward stocks have also taken a hit, with depth players Trey Mooney and Pasami Saulo departing.

Who have the Raiders re-signed for next season?

Kaeo Weekes established himself in the NRL at fullback during Canberra's surge up the ladder and was rewarded with a long-term deal. 

Xavier Savage and Tom Starling also enjoyed career-best seasons and inked extensions. 

With an eye on the future, the Raiders locked down some of their best emerging talent, with Savelio Tamale, Owen Pattie and Noah Martin all handed new contracts. 

The Raiders also re-signed Simi Sasagi on a deal that will see him remain at the club until the end of the 2028 season.
