The 2026 NRL premiership market is out and it features some rather interesting prices (full list below).
While Brisbane and Penrith are unlikely to raise too many eyebrows as current premiership favourites, the lofty $6.50 rating of the Melbourne Storm seems to be based far more on history and respect for Craig Bellamy than consideration for what has already been a hugely tumultuous off-season.
Following top-four NRL campaigns in 2025, both the Raiders and Bulldogs may feel a little insulted to see their teams listed at the juicy price of $14 while Sharks fans will yet again be wondering what’s going on, paying $21 despite making the second-last weekend of the 2025 season.
Bookmakers expect the Warriors to slide into the mid-table in 2026, with the current money trail suggesting Parramatta and Souths should rise back towards the top eight.

At the other end of the premiership scale the $56 Titans and $61 Knights are once again predicted to be battling for the wooden spoon despite both having new head coaches—same goes for St. George Illawarra who are currently paying $61 in what seems a significant slight on Shane Flanagan’s men.
Having said all this, fans of the bottom-rated teams can take plenty of solace from the Canberra Raiders who won the minor premiership last season despite being listed as rank outsiders at the start of 2025.
The 2026 NRL premiers will be crowned at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Sunday October 4.
