The curtain closes on Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season with a primetime clash between the Bears and Vikings.

Buzz is swirling in Chicago, where new head coach Ben Johnson has injected fresh energy and quarterback Caleb Williams is stepping into the spotlight.

The city has been electric all week, filled with chatter ranging from bold predictions to critical hot takes, including Ty Dunne’s pointed Go Long piece on Williams. Fans won’t have to wait much longer—the opener offers the first true measuring stick for where this franchise is headed.

On the other sideline, Dennis Allen will look to dial up creative schemes to test Vikings rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy in his first NFL start. The Bears’ defense, though, may not be at full strength. Linebacker TJ Edwards is in danger of missing the game, while All-Pro corner Jaylon Johnson could be limited after sitting out the entire offseason program with a groin issue.

Minnesota should have key reinforcements ready. Justin Jefferson, the All-Pro receiver, is expected to make his season debut, joined by starting left tackle Christian Darrisaw. However, the Vikings will be without Jordan Addison, who begins serving his three-game suspension.

Here's everything you need to know about the Bears vs. Vikings, including TV channel and live stream options for the game.
