The Houston Texans started the season 0-3 but bounced back to finish with a 12-5 record, earning the 5th seed in the AFC and now have a shot at reaching the AFC Championship.
They are set to go to Foxborough to play the New England Patriots in the divisional round.
Many people mainly credit the Texans' success this season to their defense—fairly so, as their defensive squad is among the best, if not the top, in the NFL.
However, a major area needing improvement was the offensive line. Consequently, the Texans brought in several offensive linemen during the offseason.
AllSportsPeople has everything you need to know about who Trent Brown is.

Who is No. 77 on Texans
This would be Trent Brown, an offensive lineman for the Texans. Brown is in his 11th year out of Florida. He was drafted back in the 2015 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round.
As mentioned above, the Texans had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL. This was certainly a vocal point of the offseason, so the Texans signed Brown in March of 2025.
Originally, Brown was added for veteran depth and placed on the practice squad as he was returning from a knee injury. Brown was eventually promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in October.
Brown only played in seven games this season, but he was a starter in the Texans' playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Trent Brown height
Brown is hard to miss on the football field due to his size. The lineman is a whopping 6'8", and even then, that doesn't do justice.

Brown towers over his fellow NFL peers and teammates on the field. Although it's not all that uncommon for his position. In fact, of the 20 tallest players in the NFL, only two aren't on the offensive line.

Trent Brown weight
Brown weighs in at 380 pounds. Despite being this size, Brown can still move quite well for such a large athlete.
Brown is a versatile tackle, and the Texans use him as a swing tackle in their run game.
Brown is the heaviest active player in the NFL; however, rookie free agent Desmon Watson was a whopping 464 pounds on his NFL Pro Day in 2025.
Watson did shed some weight after signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he was still well over 400 pounds.
