The Pittsburgh Steelers left the door open in Week 17.
With an upper hand in the AFC North race, carrying a 9-6 record heading into a game against the Cleveland Browns, the Steelers could have clinched the division last week. But somehow, the Baltimore Ravens, even with all their struggles and injury issues this season, will have a chance to play for the AFC North crown.
Baltimore and Pittsburgh will play in the final regular season game of the 2025 NFL season on Sunday night, with the winner earning the division title and an AFC playoff spot. Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers have had their high points this year, including a recent three-game win streak, but their Week 17 loss to Cleveland without DK Metcalf meant they hadn't yet fended off Baltimore.
The Ravens, meanwhile, have slowly climbed out of an early hole despite Lamar Jackson's injury concerns. And now, the stakes couldn't be much higher on Sunday night: the winner of the AFC North showdown will have hope of making a playoff run in the coming weeks, while the loser will face significant offseason questions, including a potential coaching change.
